24 hour London Fashion Bubble

Last week I was privileged and lucky enough to be invited by Amanda at The Online Stylist blog to the Red Magazine Gap event in London. Let’s face it, I was excited. I love London, I love Red Magazine and I love Gap. What she didn’t tell me was that I was going to be inhaled into a London fashion bubble for 24 hours. The trip completely surpassed all my expectations and the sunny Spring weather even got us sipping our first glass of rose of the season. Here’s what we got up to…Tower Bridge

First stop was the Baukjen HQ to touch and feel the new Summer collection – I wanted it all. Just beautiful (see yesterday’s blog post for more Baukjen summer gorgeousness).

We then headed over to The Tower Hotel to drop our bags and have a quick change for the evening event. The Tower Hotel was lovely. We had a room on the 5th (executive no less) floor with The White Company toiletries and a Nespresso machine. We were happy. After admiring the view over Tower Bridge and a quick change, it was time for food and a little Regent Street style shopping.

We hit J.Crew, then lipstick shopping in Liberty to pick up the perfect Spring colour from Laura Mercier (feature coming soon, it’s lovely!). Pit-stop at Hix bar in Selfridges for Porn Star Martinis before heading to the Gap store for the Red Magazine event.

Laura Fantacci was every bit as stylish in the flesh as she is on her Wearing It Today blog and on her advice I even tried the elusive boyfriend jeans but sadly I just don’t think the boyfriend style and me are going to hit it off. It was lovely to bump into Frances from School Run Style and Esther from Style & Conversation too.Red Magazine Gap event

After gossip, gin and dinner at Hush with Helen from The It Guide, Lucy from The Luxe Life, Kate from I am not a Celebrity and Jenny we crashed and burned back at the hotel in our super comfy beds. Rising early we head for breakfast where I opt for a freshly made omelette. The Tower breakfast

Despite the sore feet and with coffees in hand we hop on over to Donna Ida in Belgravia on Friday morning to sample their latest Spring collection. Outfit post coming very soon with my new I am the Ida Girl Mabel jeans in Pebble Beach.

So after an immense 24 hours we step back onto the train. With the headiness over, we spend the homeward journey recalling anecdotes about our time in London as well as the inevitable blogging chat.

A huge thank you to Amanda, Suzi at Baukjen and Claire at Donna Ida. What a fabulous fashion time I had.
