MiH Jeans Press Day & Me.
March turned out to be a really busy month but so exciting in so many ways and just as I thought life was resuming to normal, in dropped an invitation to MiH Jeans AW14 Press Day. This meant a trip to the MiH Jeans HQ to preview their Autumn Winter 2014 collection.
If you’ve read any of my early posts, you’ll know I am a huge fan of premium denim and MiH are one of my favourite brands. To have this opportunity was a huge pleasure and personal highlight of my blogging journey. Not to mention being in the same room as the founder Chloe, I needed to pinch myself on several occasions.
MiH are one of the original British premium denim brands. Chloe’s father, Tony Lonsdale, dubbed the ‘Blue Jean King’ lead the denim revolution in the 1970’s by being the first to import US denim to the UK and selling it and the MiH Jeans in his legendary Jean Machine stores.
Once the logistics of the family were sorted in the morning I made my way on the train to London, in my leopard heels. Which in itself was a novelty, if a little challenging at times. Here’s my blog post last week on what I wore.
The offices in Shepherd’s Bush were stunning. An old Victorian school house with enormous windows and grand high ceilings. It was a beautiful light space and the perfect setting to show case the collection. After a coffee and introductions to the team at MiH, SJ showed me around piece by piece.
Starting with the pre-collection which I believe will be released really soon and moving on to the body-con jeans – incredible!
Beautiful, luxurious fabrics for everyday wear, I spent most of the time creating my AW wardrobe. SJ suggested these coats…
Instead of black, this leather biker is a lovely ‘Forest Green’. Black is a really draining colour for me so this little find had me going back twice to try it on, just to be sure…!
I’m taking the wool one and the leather one and the winter maxi, the navy velvet jacket, the mohair jumpers, the softness denim shirt, the silk shirt…yep, that should be Autumn Winter sorted.

Thanks Annmarie. It was such an amazing experience and the clothes were just gorgeous. Those heels are my favourites but my feet aren’t quite so fond of them! Need more practice in them I think…! xx

Haha! Thanks Katy. It was a really great day. If the money pot was endless, I’d totally have both those coats and well yes, all of it actually! The nice thing about the coats is that they’re really classic too/timeless…yep, I’ll keep telling myself that! x
