Two ways with Tweed

Styling the Tweed

After deciding I would be more frugal and creative with my wardrobe (see yesterday’s post on wardrobe reinvention), I thought it would be good share a couple of ways I’ve styled my tweed coat. This tweed coat has been another wardrobe investment. Purchased three years ago, it’s by a company called Really Wild. The one I have is no longer available but this is the same coat in a different tweed.

This particular shape works really well on me because I need to accentuate my waist –  the high waisted pockets do this perfectly. I also don’t like coats that feel as though they swamp me, so by having the pockets higher up means less bulk further down around my troublesome thighs (I hide this well!)

Really Wild Tweed

I live in the Hampshire countryside where hunting, shooting and fishing are the norm so pulling on the flat brown suede boots is an easy outfit choice. But equally I love mixing the traditional style of the coat with a more modern outfit.
