This Weekend

Most weekends these days are spent ferrying children to and from parties, running errands and meeting up with friends. Sometimes it’s a necessity to catch up on chores too which is never exciting. I love being busy and it’s great to be sociable but sometimes it’s nice not to have any plans. I am also guilty of clock watching and working out what time we have to be somewhere, when we are going to eat, where we’re going to eat etc.  It can get hectic and not all that relaxing. Maybe this is just life with children (most of the time it feels like I’m still learning this) I don’t know, but this weekend I’m going to make a concerted effort not to and the plan is, that is there is no plan.

But it would be lovely to…

1. Go for a long forest walk finishing off with rhubarb bellinis at The Pig. We are so lucky to live only a short drive from the New Forest so try as often as can get out there.

2. Bake. Maybe some festive baking…mince pies, sausage rolls?

3. Catch up with Red Magazine and do some more Christmas planning.

4. Go for a hot chocolate at our favourite bistro, Thyme & Tides in Stockbridge.

Sounds like a perfect weekend! We have something similar planned – enjoy, it’s good to have some down time before the Christmas chaos descends!

Hi Karen, Thank you. We’ve got another weekend of no plans this weekend with the added bonus of the girls at their grandparents…oh what to do?!?! Like you say, will be nice to have a little calm before the Christmas chaos. Hope you have a good one!
