What I wore: Patterned trousers
Yesterday was my daughters’ sports day and the perfect opportunity to give my Zara patterned trousers their first outing.
What turned out to my a glorious day started out a bit chilly so I opted for this navy and black striped slouchy jumpy (I hate being cold) and black flats. For years I would never put black and navy together but it’s one of my favourite pairings these days. Done right, I think it looks really put together.
I hate looking like I’ve tried too hard but I do like to look like I’ve made an effort. These fit that bill perfectly. The fit was great and just enough stretch to take part in the Mum’s race (I came third by the way…!)
My other favourite element of this outfit is the emergency purchase sunglasses from New Look.
